🧩 Topics for IAPC Annual Debate 2026

This year, participants can choose from three compelling themes:

  • DNR should be default in advance cancer patients admitted in ICU — Agree or Disagree?
  • Should palliative care begin only when oncologists decide, or from the start of treatment?
  • Community participation is more important than technology in the growth of palliative care — Yes or No?

Guidelines

  • There will be a total of 6 participants (3 speaking for the topic and 3 speaking against the topic).
  • The first 3 participants who register to speak for the topic and the first 3 candidates who register to speak against the topic will be chosen to participate.
  • Each participant will be invited to present their argument for 5 minutes only.
  • The Participants can choose any one of the topics among the three.
